Email campaigns had an average ROI of 4,300% last year according to the Direct Marketing Association. With results like that, email should definitely have a place in your marketing plan.

The best way to create and run your email marketing campaigns is through an email service provider, or ESP. While these programs do come at a monthly cost, their capabilities make them more than worth it.

ESPs allow you to design a template without having any knowledge of coding or programming. They manage your contact lists, data, and images. They offer reporting that allows you to get an in-depth look at the performance of every email you send. And perhaps most importantly - they allow you to easily implement automation.

When evaluating an ESP, it's important to ask a lot of questions and consider which elements are most important to you. We work within a number of different ESPs on behalf of our clients. Which one is the best? The reality is they all have their strengths, and they all have areas in which they continue to improve. Check out the chart below to learn which one might work best for you!
